Nha Trang is one of the most developed beach towns in Vietnam, the kind of place we generally steer clear of.  It happens that it’s also a good way to break up a very long bus journey from Central Vietnam to Saigon and the Mekong Delta, so we disregarded our inner masochists and booked a ticket.

Once again we found that there is a reason this place is popular.  It’s beautiful, there’s lots to do and it occupies a great location.  We spent 3 days here, eating well, soaking up the rays, and checking out pagodas.  Another bonus of a busy area in Vietnam is that you’re never very far from a custom tailor.  Val got two new bathing suits and it made her surprisingly happy.  In fact, I’m still a little jealous of that tailor…
